Note: This is a quick post and it involves something that happened again this past week - smells, sayings or some-such which trigger memories from days gone by... This week it was a sudden smell of sweet while in the Cafeteria at work brought me back to when I was younger. And it was a Tootsie Pop.

Its often funny to see who has the same memories that you have - and who doesn't. And it is always fun to tease the younger colleagues with the nostalgia that the 70's were a better time to grow up than the 90's.

So I can proudly say that while growing up in Ottawa, part of the fun of watching cartoons on Saturday morning was watching the commercials. One of my absolute favourites was the following classic from 1970's from The Sweets Company of America, who asked the age old question in this spot: How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie pop?

If you recall this piece of adversing history, I hope you enjoy it. If you are watching it for the first time, I hope it brings a smile to you face. And know - that the number of licks has never been found but it is sure is fun trying to find out.
